Patrick Lafferty is a principal of Capital Trading Group (CTG). CTG is an investment firm specializing in trade execution and account management for today's leading Commodity Trading Advisors. Patrick has worked in the futures and options industry for over 17 years. Based out of the prestigious Chicago Board of Trade building, CTG works with the futures industry’s top money managers and newsletter writers.
Patrick is the author of the books Single Stock Futures, The Option Strategy Guide, and Breaking Through to Success:The Commodity Investor’s Guidebook. He also edits the weekly TradeView commodity newsletter and the Easy Options Advantage newsletter. Patrick has spoken at investment and trading conferences around the country and in the U.K. Patrick has a degree in Economics from DePauw University.
Nell Sloane her career over 26 years ago at the Chicago Futures Exchanges. She initiated her introductory to the industry by working for a grain trader at the CBOT. As she continued to handle the trade execution, reconciliation and capital raising she moved on to becoming a featured contributor to daily metal commentaries for 321gold, Kitco, Silver-Investor.com, and FreeMarketnews.com. She also contributed numerous articles to the Moore Research Center. Years later due to demands in the futures industry Nell launched a newsletter providing fundamental and technical analysis on futures and options on futures entitled, “The Opening Belle,”. She was later featured as a broker to use in the Hume SuperInvestors Files as well as the TWMPMM by Mr. Roberts and David Caplan’s letter, Opportunities in Options. R.E. McMaster, the author of “The Art of The Trade” and “The Reaper”.
Interviews with Ms. Sloane have appeared in Today’s Chicago Woman magazine, the Daily Herald, and various other distinguished trade magazines and journals. Nell has been featured in various financial publications including, the Hume Super Investors Files, TWMPMM1, Opportunities in Options, The Art of the Trade published by McGraw Hill and Resource Trader’s Alert by Kevin Kerr. She has spoken at numerous financial seminars as well as financial radio commentaries.
In addition to being principal of CTG, Nell Sloane is a broker with MF Global, the leading broker of exchange-listed futures and options in the world with offices in Bermuda, New York, London, Chicago, Paris, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Toronto, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Dubai. MF Global is the leader by volume of many of these markets and on a single day averages six million lots, more than most of the world’s largest derivatives exchanges.
Ms. Sloane has also been an Executive Member of Chicago Finance Committee and a community representative for an international au pair agency matching host families with childcare. Ms. Sloane holds both a commodities (series 3) and a securities (series 7) license, is a member of the National Futures Association, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
