Principal - Patrick Lafferty

Patrick Lafferty is a principal of Capital Trading Group (CTG). CTG is an investment firm specializing in trade execution and account management for today's leading Commodity Trading Advisors. Patrick has worked in the futures and options industry for over 17 years. Based out of the prestigious Chicago Board of Trade building, CTG works with the futures industry's top money General Partners and newsletter writers.

Patrick is the author of the books Single Stock Futures, The Option Strategy Guide, and Breaking Through to Success: The Commodity Investor's Guidebook. He also edits the weekly TradeView commodity newsletter and the Easy Options Advantage newsletter. Patrick has spoken at investment and trading conferences around the county and in the U.K. Patrick has a degree in Economics from Depaul University.

Principal - Nell Sloane

Nell Sloane began her career over 26 years ago at the Chicago Futures Exchanges. She initiated her introductory to the industry by working for a grain trader at the CBOT. As she continued to handle the trade execution, reconciliation and Capital Raising she moved on to becoming a featured contributor to Daily Metals Commentaries for 321 gold, Kitco, Silver-Investor.com and FreeMarketNews.com and periodically for the Moore Research Center. Nell eventually launched her own commodity newsletter providing fundamental and technical analysis entitled, “The Opening Belle”. Later in her career she was listed by a variety of financial publications as a broker to use. These publications included, Hume Super Investors Files, TWMPMM trading course by Ken Roberts, Opportunities in Options by David Caplan, McMaster On Line by R.E. McMaster and featured in “The Art of the Trade” published by McGraw Hill. She spoke at numerous financial seminars and financial radio shows.

One of the institutional clients Nell represented (over 200 million in assets) requested the ability to allocate assets to numerous clearing houses. In order to do so Nell formed Capital Trading Group LP with Patrick Lafferty to better serve her client. In addition to being principal and an associated person of CTG, Ms Sloane is a registered associated person of MF Global. MF Global, Inc. is a leading broker of exchange-listed futures and options in the world with offices in Bermuda, New York, London, Chicago, Paris, Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Toronto, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Dubai.

Ms. Sloane previously was an Executive Member of Chicago Finance Committee and a community representative for an international au pair agency matching host families with childcare. She’s a mother of two teenage boys and spends most time outside of the financial world attending their numerous sports events.

Portfolio Advisor – Kim Avery

The General Partner has contracted with Kim Avery to apply her proprietary asset allocation strategy. Ms. Avery is the founder of AutumnGold.com and is the author of “Building Wealth with Managed Futures”, and easy to understand guide to managed futures investing. Kim Avery has more than 30 years of investment experience. Ms. Avery has worked in various capacities in the brokerage industry since 1977 and hold series 7, 63, (securities licenses), a series 3 (commodity & futures license) and has a series 30 (branch office manager’s license).

Ms. Avery has been the General Partner of AutumnGold.com since its formation in March 2000. AutumnGold.com reports data on alternative investments and offers statistical analysis through its web-based interface. Ms. Avery was the President of Autumn Gold Investments, Inc., a Registered Commodity Pool Operator from April 1998 through June 2002. Ms. Avery currently serves as a branch office General Partner of the Price Futures Group, Inc., a guaranteed introducing broker of MF Global an Associated Person of Price Asset Management, Inc., a CTA since March 1999.

From July 1992 through March 1998, Ms. Avery served as a European representative to Renaissance Technologies, the manager of the Medallion Fund, a hedge fund with more than $5 Billion in assets.

From December 1991 through June 1992, Ms. Avery was self-employed as a financial consultant to offshore firms and financial institutions, and from November 1987 through December 1991, she was Director of Managed Futures for Balfour Maclaine International (UK) Ltd. of London, a commodities brokerage firm. As Director of Managed Futures, Ms. Avery was responsible for creating customized Managed Futures and Options Portfolios for professional and institutional investors, as well as fund administration, portfolio management, product development, marketing strategy and sales support for Balfour’s broker network.

Prior to 1987, Ms. Avery has worked with several prestigious firms in the commodity industry, including Futures Asset Management Group, Inc. (an introducing brokerage firm of which Ms. Avery was a founder), Balfour Maclaine Futures, Inc of New York, Merrill Lynch Futures, Inc, and E.F. Hutton, Inc.

Ms. Avery received a degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University in 1977, and has continued her studies in finance and statistical analysis at Fordham University.
